Utah is one of the lowest-ranking states in the nation for its pay gap between men and women. One reason for Utah’s gap is widespread gender discrimination in pay. Closing the wage gap includes promoting women in positions of leadership and higher paying jobs.
Women have the right to make medical decisions that intimately affect their bodies as their own conscience dictates with the advice of their doctors, family, and religious leaders. These decisions are deeply personal, and a woman’s right to make them should not be dictated by politics.
We must resolve to eliminate sexual harassment on campus and in the workplace. Women should have the freedom to learn and work in a safe environment.
